Last year, “Partridge in a Pear Tree” was the theme of the very first day of what would unknowingly become our“25 Dates of Christmas”.  And if we’re being honest, we were still very much amateurs at that point. It was a meager attempt at a cocktail, a tiny appetizer, and an article about the 12 Days of Christmas. We wouldn’t be here without it, but we also didn’t do it justice. So this year, we brought it back to it right. And we brought in a couple of friends to help!

We had pears incorporated into blue cheese & prosciutto appetizers, a walnut tart, and brown butter bars. Oh, and of course some pear brandy for a cocktail. And for the partridge element, we did a slight detour (partridge is hard to find as a meat) and we went with a pheasant pate as the next best thing and accomponied it with listening to “A Partridge Family Christmas Album”. This time around, we think we got it right!
