Given that there are only eight (nine with Rudolph) of Santa’s reindeer, we have to get a bit creative with how we will celebrate REINDEER as an annual theme for as long as the kids are in the house. Either that or they need to be savants and head off to college when most of their friends are in elementary school :) So, this year we celebrated a particular element of the reindeer…. and that is Rudolph’s nose! We let the kids have fun with reindeer-themed craft projects while also making all the foods of the day look like Rudolph, with some element representing its nose. Ben got out on the foggy morning for a Run, Rudolph, Run. And what better rhyming activity to pair with a reindeer’s nose than a mid-day doze? Come time for afternoon naps, we pulled out some new reindeer sleepers and slippers for the whole family and settled in for a nice rest as we approach the final stretch of 2023’s 25 Dates of Christmas.
