Today we took the classic line of “Fa La La La La La La La La” from “Deck the Halls” and made a full day of it with all words that sounded like the Fa’s and the La’s. And there were a lot! We started with a brunch of LAttes and LA-efse and LAtkes. After church, we made a lunch of LA-eftovers and were inspired by the Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen holiday leftovers episode. After naps, we ventured out to LAke Monster Brewing to enjoy their Craft FAir as well as their perfectly named LAst FAthom LAger. And on the way home, we visited FA-leet FArm for their toy displays.

The kids enjoyed the book “Moo Baa FA LA LA LA LA”, a Mondo LLAma craft project, and some FA LA LA LA LA window clings we found at Fleet Farm. And for dinner, we made a festive FAlafel and had dessert LAsagna… obviously a LA mode :)

Once the kids fell asleep, the two of us lounged around in some FA-lannel and FA-leece and FAux fur blankets and listened to one of the top-rated Christmas albums of all time with “Christmas Joy in LAtvia”. We also read up on some weird Christmas LAws, did a National LAmpoon puzzle,  enjoyed a Christmas-themed crossword from the L.A. Times while we sipped a holiday-inspired Old FAshioned.
