Lighting up a Christmas tree has come a long ways from Germany in the 17th Century when candles were placed on Christmas trees to help illuminate the artful ornaments and decorations. Now, we have every shape and size of light imaginable to brighten up the winter.

To celebrate the evolution of CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, the entire family grabbed some hot cocoa and headed out to drive the surrounding neighborhoods to vote in Como Park’s Christmas Decorating Contest.

After completing the winter drive and getting the kids settled into bed, us parents had our own fun by celebrating the many different kinds of light displays that exist. From LASER Pointer Pictionary to a “Mint ICICLE” Cocktail to a playlist of "Christmas STRINGS" to pulling out our own LIGHT PROJECTOR to watch “Great Christmas Light Fight”, it was a full and festive evening!
