If you’ve never heard of the Christmas Pickle, you’re missing out. There are numerous stories regarding the origin ranging from a Civil War soldier to Saint Nicholas savings some children from a pickle barrel. Definitely research them on your own if you get a chance. But regardless of how it actually come to be, the Christmas pickle has become one of the most enduring Christmas traditions from around the world. Nowadays, it’s a common activity to hide a pickle in one’s Christmas tree and have a contest to see who can find it first.

To honor the tradition of the Christmas Pickle, we made an entire night focused on celebrating it including appetizers, entrees, cocktails, and even an attempt at a pickle-themed dessert. And naturally, we had to play a game of “Find the Christmas Pickle” ourselves!
