Today was all about letters to Santa. The twins are too young to have any concept of it, but Miles sure loved putting his engineering brain to work and seeing how the toy mailboxes operated and putting his "letters" in and out… in and out!

Us parents read through two books that fit the day’s festivities. One was a collection of letters dating back to the 1920s that were sent to Santa Claus, Indiana. It was amazing to see how the styles of letters and the asks from kids have changed over the years. We also started J.R.R. Tolkien's “Letters from Father Christmas” where he wrote his children a letter every year in the persona of Father Christmas and detailing the events of the North Pole.

But the highlight of our day was being able to partner with the USPS’s “Operation Santa” and adopt a letter sent to Santa by a little girl in Pennsylvania and be able to help her family out by sending her some of her requested gifts.
