Who doesn’t love Bill Murray? And who doesn’t love Christmas? Combine the two into a themed holi-date called “A Very Murray Christmas,” and you're set for a fantastic and festive time. We dedicated an entire day to celebrate Bill Murray and all the other famous Murrays associated with Christmas.

We started by venturing to the Twin Cities landmark, Murray’s Steakhouse. They offered several festive, Murray-oriented that we were able to enjoy in their Christmas-adorned lounge. After the happy hour, we stumbled upon a delightful indoor rollerskating rink as part of our local Holidazzle and so we simply had to put on some skates and give it a go.

Once our fun was wrapped up downtown, we queued up Anne Murray’s holiday album “The Ultimate Christmas Collection” while driving to pick up the kiddos. Once home, we brought the kids in on the fun with a reading of “How Murray Saved Christmas” and a viewing of the “How Murray Saved Christmas” movie.

After the kids were asleep, we whipped up a few receipes by Andy Murray (Bill’s brother) from his family cookbook, “Eat, Drink, and Be Murray.” The cookbook is sprinkled with family holiday anecdotes, recollections, and scrumptious recipes. We settled for a radish spread and a mixture of cream cheese, dried beef, and toasted pecans called “Hot Nuts”. And we paired those with the obvious feature: Bill Murray’s holiday extravaganza, “A Very Murray Christmas.”

It was a day filled with laughter, delicious food, and plenty of festive cheer—all thanks to the wonderful world of Murrays. Cheers to a Very Murray Christmas!
