As usual, Ben can find some really unusual and strange Christmas character and traditions to feature. But frankly, these are some of our favorites! This year, we discovered the history of La Befana, the Good Christmas Witch of Italy. Yep, you heard that right. A “Christmas witch”.

It’s a fascinating story involving the wise men, a fastidious cleaner, and the resulting tradition of leaving out a platter of sausages, broccoli, and wine. There’s so much more to the story, but I’ll let you choose to discover all of it for yourself.

We were able to bring back one of our favorite events of last Christmas with the game of Find the Broomstick. And we also discovered “The Legend of the Christmas Witch”, an Italian-language Christmas film that we wound up enjoying quite a bit.
